@humanearth There is no age requirement. Most clubs or resorts require parents to be with those under 18, but most beaches don't have an age requirement.

@humanearth hm, then you have had quite a different experience than I have. I think that is the rule in sex nudist clubs (or swingers clubs). But the ones I have been to are promoted as family friendly.

Been there, done that - a few times in fact. We are generally fairly casual about nudity anyhow. I grew up in a doctor's house with two brothers and a sister and where dad was a doctor and tended to treat nudity as just another day at the office. It was not a lifestyle, but it made us rather casual about it by American standards.

Then my girlfriend and I have lived together for 12 years and have three children and my casualness about nudity has carried over into our house. Again, not a lifestyle but just a casualness.

So with that starting point, a funny story first. We had some neighbors, who have since moved away, who were part of a naturist club. We got to be good friends and they invited us to join them as guests.

Frankly, we were not big on it but we thought to be polite and so we went a few times. The first two times without our children, the third with - this before our third child was born. (In fact, the third time we went my girlfriend was pregnant with our third child and so with nudity my girlfriend brought a "baby bump.")

Frankly, it was a very pleasant experience. The facilities were very nice. Not at all what we were expecting, and the people made a sincere effort, it seemed to us, to be friendly and welcoming.

Honestly, neither my girlfriend nor I are sufficiently "granola" to be into making nudity a conscious lifestyle choice. It is one thing to walk around the house in the nude or even sunbathe in our secluded backyard (or have sex as we have done a few times.) Quite another to do so for any alleged health benefits. However, it was a good experience.

Also, my girlfriend have taken a few Caribbean vacations, including to a resort in Jamaica called, suitably enough, Hedonism. There it was more common for guests to be nude - and do a lot of stuff, if you catch my drift, out in the open - than not. Though ironically the three times when my girlfriend and I had sex on a beach, once pretty obviously being seen in public, it was not at that resort.

That all said, it would not cause either of us to bat an eyelash. In our experience at a nudist club, the food was good, the facilities quite nice and the people as nice as could be. In fact, the rules about open sexuality - though erections on men were taken in their stride - were fairly strict and it was about as erotic as a workout video.

Fun, but not exactly scandalous.
