If I had to I would, that would be the basis of trailer park living, but those are prefabs, not RVs. Staying in an RV is a step above camping in comparison. More expensive than a house as far as cost and maintenance as well. Given a choice, hell no, I just stay with friends or rent a house when I go on vacation.
If traveling rent a cheap ass apartment, you're carrying a gun anyway if you're staying in an RV, difference is my walls aren't made of fiberglass/sheetmetal and some fiberboard. Even during disaster work there's always someone who will rent for cash. Just don't be picky about utilities.
Granted they are cheaper now then they were a few years ago to simply buy new, like 90k compared to 150k, still, you can get a decent house for 90-150k to simply rent and make enough money to travel on.
Yeah! I fantasized about it many times.
I'm really not a property owning person, the idea of settling somewhere for the rest of my life always felt very... unfulfilling?
I feel like, if I was financially stable and it would be legal to do so, I would totally do it.
Moving around the country, staying somewhere for a month, checking out what it has to offer and then moving onto someplace new, I think I would really enjoy that lifestyle.
I barely own anything as is, a lot of my apartment remains unfurnished for years now.
I just never felt much of an attachment to my living quarters at any point in my life.
I spent most of my life away from home living at dorms and what not, maybe that's what caused it.
I’m living on a sailboat, it’s cozy but designed for full time live aboard use. RV’s seem recreational and not really designed for full time use, and freaking expensive for ones that are. The boat is a late 1980’s hull, not many RV’s would have held up like this.
So that’s a no.
That would be like living in a Tiny House. Ok for about a month but then would be too confining. It is not something to live in permanently.

Not without doing a heckuva lot of research- and probably more than a few test drives. A car is one thing, but if you're LIVING in the vehicle, you want to make darn sure it's the right one. Cost is an issue, too- I'm sure they're not cheap, and gas is a concern (do they even make hybrid or electric RVs?). Of course, housing generally isn't cheap anywhere; it's often people's biggest expense.
On the other hand, I'm young and unattached, with nothing really holding me here. I doubt I have anywhere NEAR the money I'd need, but it might be fun for a while.
I am currently in the process of buying a decommissioned school bus and plan to turn it into an RV. I can do most of the work on it myself, so going this route makes it much cheaper than buying an RV. Also, I can create the design I want. In my state, you can even legally make a Bus/RV a house under the right conditions. I will have 2 renovated buses when I'm done. The first will sit on land with the wheels removed. The 2nd one will be ready for travel. In my area it is cheaper to buy land, buy 4 buses and renovate all 4 than it is to buy a one story house with 2 bedrooms and land.
Definitely! I would love to move out of my parent's house but the prices of houses are so high that I think I might have to stay with them for at least 5 more years until I can afford something on my own. An RV would be a really good option, cost-wise.
I actually have a big RV that I used to live in sometimes.
I gutted it out completely and renovated it to be like a small house inside.
2 bedrooms, bathroom, tub, washer and dryer etc.
I completely sealed it and made my own plumbing and heating system.
Yes! I adore the idea of living simple. Only having what I need has always been appealing. I’m organized having a place for everything would be calming. I’m hoping to buy one soon to make the move.
No, it's too cramped. I would go camping in one.
I would however live on a sailboat. I know somebody who lives on his boat and I think it is awesome.
It would have to be a big one and those would cost more than an RV and be smaller as far as bed space. Now a sailboat like on the TV show Below Deck Sailing would be cool.
My husband, our pets & I take 1-2 RV adventures each month. Our RVs are our "homes" at least 4 nights each time we "glamp" out.
Yes, might become more the norm now as well if housing prices continue to skyrocket
Possibly, if I wanted to live life on the road. The RV would just serve to get from one destination to the next and provide shelter.
I don't think that there are any RVs in my country but I'd rather live out my days in one than in a house with the kind of woman that too often for my liking exists in the West these days.
Man I don't know. I have yet to see an RV with a 5 car garage.
Also applies if you would ever live in a shipping container.
Not a 5th Wheel Trailer? Ngmi. On a Side note would love to just live in a double wide on a mess of land.
For the summer probably but I live where it can get -40 in the winter so not the best for rving.
no, this for southern Americans. I wouldn't like being thatr kind of person from that part of the uSA.
Yeah maybe, it’s too expensive to live in a house it seems now, probably when I retire
Fiance said Caravan. xx
Probably not. I need more space lol
Sure, I could do that.
Only when camping for The summer
