Would you live in a mobile home/camper?

I'm seriously considering getting back into music production, building a mobile studio out of a box truck and living out of that.

Fuck paying 2k/week for these Fischer price apartments. My electricity bill is the same as if I just got a gas generator and powered everything myself 😂

There are many ways to live. As the American Dreams gets farther and farrther from reach many are considering that option. I have a friend that sold his house and did that for five years., He saved some significant money and started flipping homes. He made enough to pay off a home on Cape Cod and retired. You just have to trust your ability to generate revenue and step outside the box.

That sounds awesome! You remind me of one of my friends. He's not into music stuff, but lives in a camper on a river. He was talking about doing this for years. He finally did it!

Personally, I'd like a house with a yard in a nice neighborhood . A few years ago I'd of been heck yeah I'd love to live in a little camper or tiny house, but since getting pregnant lots of things have changed

No… they have no resell value.
so far the homes I purchased have gone up. I can sell it and move to a cheaper area when I retire.

there are some nice area in NJ… but anything 2 hours within NYC is expensive.

Maybe on a temporary basis, but I don’t think I wanna live in one all your lawn, but I don’t know where you’re paying $2000 a week for an apartment unless you’re in San Francisco, I thought my mortgage was high, but it’s cheaper to own a house, apparently where you are , it’s probably about $800 per week for my entire mortgage

Here's a typical house in a bad area, I'll BRB with one in a nice area. This is actually right by where a city official drunk crashed his car and then when someone asked about it in city hall he started screaming at the guy to be respectful of the families which was pretty hilarious

This is a typical house in a blue collar area of NJ. If you asked someone from here how much a house is they'd generally be talking about a place like this being between 5-700k

Decently priced house and it’s cheaper than my mortgage, but I’m not so thrilled about the neighborhood but I’ve been to Patterson New Jersey and I wonder how close it is to the Falls that I have pictures of when I was over there. I’m on Long Island and my house is smaller than that but cost almost half a million dollars because of the prices on Long Island.

If you're talking about the waterfall, the falls is in Patterson. That part is a little nicer than the rest of the area. It's pretty much right on the edge of "silk city" central jersey was all about hats, Paterson made fabric. And the old factories are all right by the falls. The place used to be rich but feel into poverty as work for that type of thing left the US.

Yeah it’s a lot of Turkish people around there and the food is good, I get some of the hard to find food there like the Turkish and Persian pistachios

A mobile home really somewhat on par with living in a real house/apartment (isolation, bath, kitchen…) is insanely expensive. 250-300k new, 200-250k used. If you can afford that, then sure, why not try it. 🙂👍
