There's nothing wrong with modular or mobile homes. They are built to code just like stick built homes. I've never lived in one personally, but I've seen plenty of them built. I live in Florida, so ideally you want your home built with concrete here or at least steel studs due to hurricanes, termites, carpenter ants, and humidity (mold), but throughout most of the country they would be fine to live in. I wouldn't actually want to live in a trailer park, because you don't typically own your own land, you have to rent it. In addition to land rental fees, you typically have other home owner association rules and regulations you have to follow. Personally I don't ever want to live in an Home Owners Association or Condominium Association. So far, I've managed to live on my own land or rent a home outside of an HOA throughout my life. That said, say you own a couple of acres somewhere else in the country where stick built homes are typical and you plop a modular home on it, I don't see any issue with that.

my friend had his dad buy him a very nice trailer in his early 20's. the neighbors kept to themselves and the neighborhood was well kept! there was a community pool with grills and it was great for a young couple. at night we could hear gunshots or car backfires? we never knew which. the park wasn't in the best area but it was a couple of miles away
Not in Oklahoma. That’s just asking to get obliterated by a tornado.
