Why is folk dancing so strong in Romania and Nordic countries but small in England?

Is that English or Irish? In England working class culture is more modern art. Like DJs, electronica and pop music, and traditional culture is considered 'posho'

Folk dances are present in all slavic nations, including Balkans. Romania amd Moldova are partially influenced by Slavics surrounding them. Greek one is special. Middle Eastern have folk dances, although more moderate in moves. Some germanic countries have a bit of this too. Simply, it's the cultural heritage. In the past dances were types of socialisation. Britain has some other traditions, but in middle ages I can bet England also had people dancing. Probably not in organised way, with deliberate fashion dedicated to it, and set up time and place like in slavic cultures. More likely some people drunk in the tavern decided to do a bit of fun and mess tapping the feet around and on the tavern's wooden tables. It simply didn't stick through time as something valuable to preserve?
While in these cases mentioned before, folk traditions implied actual art and creativity put into them. There are some choreographies which demand high athletic skills, abilities, talent and lots of work to perfect, such as Georgian dances, and other, which are extremely complex and hard to learn. So it must be praised as a form of art and historical treasure of a specific country.
