Is it true that people don’t dance anymore at clubs?

I I haven’t been to a club in ages , but heard from my kids’ and their friends’ that dancing at clubs is a thing of the past , is this true? I remember my clubbing days and people would be dancing like crazy , including myself , even though I couldn’t really dance , the booze still got me going and I would still get girls’ dancing with me , Back in the day that was one of the best ways to meet someone on the dance floor. Now apparently people stand around and drink and talk , is this true?

Because this is the digital age where people are always recording on their phones, it doesn't surprise me that they don't anymore. We have become so disconnected to just experiencing life and having a good time which is sad. I remember the last time I went to a club, there was nothing but dancing going on. But I'm sure it's changed tremendously since then because the new generation can't be without their phones.

Yea I was shocked to hear that it has changed , some of my best memories was being at the clubs drinking and dancing with girls’ and it was a great way to meet girls’ as well even though I wasn’ that great of a dancer , it was fun and and from my experiences with girls’ they just loved a guy that wasn’t shy and having a good time , I got a lot of phone numbers from it lol

If you're going to a club to listen to music and if you can feel that beat that rhythm , you're gonna dance , I think somebody got something mixed up someplace else , because I don't care who you are , if you're going to a club , you're gonna dance

Yes.\nI live in a 24 hour. party town and when we used to go to the clubs, we would get there around 10 or 11 and we would stay until 5 or 6 in the morning, and it was still going it's been about 3 years since I've been to a club about 4 years and the last time I went to a club same thing was happening with good music. Either live band or d j's.\nBut people are moving , that's for sure

I bet they are still dancing in some States like Tennessee where they can at least LINE DANCE, which doesn't require a dance partner.
Back in the day I went to clubs for years after my divorce. And I can attest that it is a very good way to meet someone. I saw a lot of guys that asked me to dance again and we even dated.
Too bad people would rather hold their cellphones instead of a real person. 😕

I think it depends on the area. I went to a club in Denver a few years ago and we were definitely dancing. I also went to a club in West Hollywood during pride fest and there was a lot of dancing there too.

I haven’t been to a club in ages , so I am just hearing this from the Néw generation , it also might be the area I live in as well , different breed of people out his way , which honestly blew my mind when I moved here 20 years ago , but where I am originally from , people were more outgoing and fun , cuz when I went to clubs the majority of people were dancing and having a good time

it's the same as before...

in some clubs, they just dance... in others, they drink and dance

then you have the ones in which they drink more than anything... options are there, same as always

one thing is different though, nowadays they're vastly more expensive and overpriced than ever before

Well the big club in Hua Hin , there is no dance floor but people sure still dance , I love that place , sadly I think still closed bcoz someone was shot ( Thai on Thai ) .
Incredible venue though.

I can't confirm that. People hit the dancefloors in our discos just as they always did. Some clubs/discos are underground, so you have no cellphone reception anyway.

Correct. They just stand there with their cellphones. Either texting or recording instead of living in the moment. Just go look at the show Tiësto had last year in Egypt!

Absolutely we went to clubs and the floor was just packed., It was a blast and on 40 bucks !!
