Why have people stopped clubbing a lot when it was the shit in the early 2010's and every single day and decade before in human history?

Around the mid 2010's to late 2010's it went to shit and kept getting shittier. And when I say shit I meant popularity wise and I'm talking about America. I have never gone clubbing and many people say it is no big deal or it sucks. Not just now but always it sucked or it was okay.

They haven't.

Clubs and bars are still strong.

But the cost of living means most cannot afford the club prices for drinks or food, plus taxi and fare. Also, the scene these days is overrun with gangs, crime and run down places, making for some really bad nights out.

People don't want to pay concert ticket prices, for sub par clubs.

Back in the early 2000's they cleaned up much of the concerts and clubs by ensuring they were up to building code. Staff and customer safety standards were maintained and enforced. A lot of that is gone as now any Jimmy can open a club or bar and pack it to the rafters.

But yes, I feel you, community and clubs were different back then.

Mixture of reasons. First of all we do not engage with other people in the same way thanks to the internet. Secondly, it requires a fair amount of free time and money which is becoming an issue in modern time as people have to spend more and more time working for less and less money. Ultimately however its a change in the culture.

I supposed it's because of social media and dating apps. People who used to go to clubs to look for love or sex are using them. I've never been to a club, I don't see the point of going.
