Agreed. I love kayaking too.
When I was a kid I saw an old WW2 movie called "cockleshell heroes" and fell in love with the idea.
I learned to kayak in the military.
Lsrge 2 person canvas and rubber over a wooden frame that breaks down. It had a rudder. The coast guard would drop us off in the ocean and we'd have to navigate back to shore. Over-the-horizin navigation. It has to be a minimum 12 nautical miles off shore so you can't see any land features, so you're navigating with the compass only. No gps allowed. Just fun. If the wind was right the guy in front would pull out his poncho and attached one end to the kayak and the other he'd hold so the wind would help us along like a sail.
I took a kayak down the coast one summer.
150 from North Carolina to Charleston SC. Quite a good trip.
I finally got my own kayak.
It opens up a lot of possibilities.
Fishing, these days. I want to get a kayak for it actually. I used a friend’s a couple of times but it was dumb windy both times, kind of made fishing tough. On a calm day though, that could get me into a lot of hard to reach spots.
Oh, and pond hockey in the winter, preferably in snow light snow flurries, that’s a vibe like no other, haha.
Winter vibezzzz
I love sailing in the creeks, backwaters and rivers near where I live. Drifting up a creek on the rising tide. String net holding tinnies dangling over the side keeping cool. Feet up on the gunwale while pigging cold pizza. Magic!
Snowboarding, archery, hiking, kite-flying, bike riding, rollerblading, paintball, water balloon flights. Anything really…. if it’s fun I’m game.

I immediately thought about the time I had sex on a natural rock formation in a National Park. It was pretty awesome.
I also like to go kayaking. I have a vacation home on one of the the islands in a very large bay. I have visited many of the other islands. I just had a total hip replacement and I didn't get to go this year and last year I didn't travel because of the virus. I am hopeful for 2022.
coolest backyard ever... lmao
I'd have to go with soccer because that's a sport that has given me too much... but also, sometimes I miss the days in which I had a Jeep and could just go into the woods for a long weekend
yes, I can only imagine... during my childhood we would have to bike for about 15 minutes, and then sort of trespass... haha, and it wasn't as great looking but it was a lot of fun
A few weeks back I began a new one: chasing my new two puppies through the garden to prevent them from gnawing up my herbs, and veggies.
Until recently, it was sailing. But the surrounding ''sailing culture'' has become too monetized, so I quit for good.
I wish, I had a creek nearby, just as you :)
It does not matter if it's summer time or winter time I don't care I love being outside everything's my favorite activity
Bonfires at night with the people I love most, contemplating the deeper mysteries of life as we stargaze
I work as an outdoor guide, leading sea-kayaking trips in the summer and ski-touring trips in the winter, so those are my favourites, but I like pretty much any activity that involves the mountains or ocean.
Love to run in the woods near me, it's peaceful and beautiful. And then there's the outdoor nooky 😂
Always wanted to Kayak. You have certainly lucked out having that beauty so close to home.
Fishing and sometimes I'll paint a landscape if I have a chance
A relaxing activity. Maybe even just enjoying a lunch outside. A hammock even.
Me and my friends in high school bought an ounce and kayaked or canoed or something down the illinois river while smoking blunts. I really love nature but I never do anything outside anymore for some reason
Almost anything -even just laying in my yard.
Problem is, too busy with crap indoors- need to prioritize outside walks/gardening/rafting/swimming more.
Snow skiing in winter, paddle boarding in summer. Biking in either (mild winters here).
Everything, hiking, camping, off roading, the world
White water river rafting on a nice sunny summer day
im not much of an outdoor person, but walking is often peaceful :)
Never done any outdoor activity that I liked very much Miss but I want to do sky diving and think I would love it.
I love running along the beach with my dogs just as the sun is rising.
Snorkeling, biking and grilling outdoors (specially at the beach)
For me pretty much being outdoors is it, but since you asked for examples (can’t name just one). Mountain biking, hiking, back packing, dirtbike riding and snow boarding.
Nothing to do, nowhere to go, all land is privately owned or it's so restrictive to go there and not open on weekends so it's not even worth it
Depends on the season and my mood. I'll get in a boat, go for a hike, or just simply fish from the bank.
I never went scuba diving but I'm sure it'd be that
