Mazda is hands down the best kept secret in the automobile business. They build an absolutely outstanding car. I'm a die hard Dodge and Ram guy, but I needed something good on gas... I went to the usual suspects Honda and Toyota, but then someone suggested Mazda. The build quality was significantly better. No cheap flimsy plastics in the interior. Everything thing you touch feels high quality. The way the door shuts sounds better ( I get to be pretty anal when analyzing a car)
The Mazda was so obviously built better. And I told myself if I'm gonna buy a Japanese car, I want it to be built in Japan. I think the parts content on my car is 98% Japanese. Anyway...
So I took my chance on it. 140k miles later, it runs as smooth as the day I bought it. Nothing rattles, the whole car has held up well. Steering still feels nice and tight, no funny noises. I will absolutely buy another Mazda, but I do plan on driving this one into the ground. Who knows when that will be though lol
What model?
Mazda 6 2017... But Mazda uses a lot of the same power trains across the board
Honestly, none of them.
They make such boring and sterile vehicles nowadays that most of my love for Asian carmakers is gone, although I loved them as a child.
I do own old Mitsubishi Lancer, however.
So I'm picking Mitsubishi, mostly for nostalgia reasons.
Damn i didn't even realize all of those were japanese haha. Its definitely Nissan then Toyota then Lexus then Mazda. I've never had interest in Subaru or Honda. I love the Nissan GTR, 350z, Maxima. I like Toyota (but not their latest editions) Camry, 4runner, Tundra, Avalon, Tacoma, and rav4. I like the Lexus RCF and IS. I like the Mazda rx8
It was always Toyota. About 2010-12 they shot themselves in the foot when they started degrading quality and kept upping the price. Care to detail and quality control is gone.
Toyota quality has definitely diminished over the years... And those CVTs they've been using are horrendous

mazda... cause i drove my 1997 mazda up untill 2018. and it only died on me, cause i didn't do an oil change in all that time... also the oil pan rusted, which usually doesn't happen, cause usually the tolerances are so crappy, that over time oil spills out and prevents the pan from rusting.
my heart breaks a little bit, every time I don't see Mitsubishi on these lists... lol
They made nice trucks too.
Lexus is Toyota’s luxury brand. So, a vote for that is a vote for Toyota.
Anyways, if I was going to buy a Japanese car. It would probably be Toyota. Due to their reliability.
I thought it was Honda's luxury brand
@Whatthefluff Nope Toyota Motor Corporation. Honda makes Acura.

AHGH Thank you
Honda.
Civic was my first car and I loved it. It wasn't that lame like my BMW that has more HP but is twice as heavy.
I want a Civic!
Hard the Subaru is fantastic while the Toyota trucks based on the SR22 engine are also fantastic! The others are junk!
Mitsubishi, specially EVO VII & EVO VIII. Their pickups are amazing too
Toyota and Lexus are the same company and yes they are the best Asian made cars. I think overall best made are Mercedes Benz. Germans are the best at that.
I like Toyota because of their quality-price ratio.
Toyota now, used to be Datsun (Nissan) but they are not like they used to be
Nissan for me.
Currently driving an X-Trail!
They are all the same to me.
None I am American muscle car lover
