Never had any of those cars, but had a real cool '69 bug that was lowered, single piece side windows, Riviera wheels, and an 1835 cc engine. It was fast! Sorry that I sold it so I could buy a Dodge Challenger. 😔

German cars were great until they started trying to over-engineer everything by putting all the unnecessary electronics and 20 computer control modules in them, and try to put 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag.

@TheRealPepperPotts I work on some cars here and there, but one of my friends used to work as a mechanic at a BMW dealership. There's so many electronic gizmos on these newer luxury cars. After a few years they all start going to shit and you're pulling your hair out chasing all the problems. They are cars for people who can afford to buy a new car every few years. Everything is so disposable these days.

You are exactly right! :D It is sad how that is happening now. Throwaway everything. I am thinking if we really cared about the environment, we'd focus more on building things to last 100 years and keep vehicles and electric batteries out of the landfill. But that's another conversation entirely.
