Again, I will agree with you.
I have been to tours with my friends where in we were traveling, partying, dancing, eating and meeting new people but honestly after two days I felt that I didn't want to be there. I would love to sit back in my untidy room, I would love to watch netflix on my laptop in my room when I am alone, I was missing the freedom where I can just watch a porno any time I feel and eat potato chips and coke when I am watching the movies.
It kinda freaks me when the plan is over two days.
I am not much into shopping, but everytime I go out on a trip, I am the one who spends a lot of money and actually gets some good stuff. Last time I got a suit from a hill station, First copy Nike shoes, Loafers, Winter jacket and everyone was just watching me spend money. I realized that those items were out on sale and I found them useful so yea its fun. I feel In jist two days I have the enthusiasm to roam around, explore the entire day. Instead of going out for 4 hrs then back to the hotel room to take rest. Noooo two days of excessive travel, shopping, party, food and back to my sweet comfy space. 😂🥳🥳
Well I have been to Zuluk, North Sikkim, North Bengal and Gujarat so far and it was fun.
Let me know your thoughts.
Happy happy!

I plan trips around the activities. Stay as long as it takes to do what you want to do, and then get out! Efficiency is the name of the game. Hotels ain't cheap, y'all.

It depends on where I'm going and the purpose.
A two or three day weekend is enough for some vacations like snow skiing, camping, or visiting a relaxing resort.
One time, a friend and I hopped on a red eye from Los Angeles to St. Louis at the last minute and just had one full day there. We went to the top of the Gateway Arch, drove around town, drank some beer, and dined while riding on a paddle wheel river boat on the Mississippi. It was a short, fun adventure.
Five days is enough for other things like visiting a big city where there are things to do. I've done that with girlfriends.
One time, I went by myself on a whirlwind tour of Washington DC and Virginia and squeezed in a mind boggling amount of sight seeing and experiences.
One time, my wife and I spent five days at the giant Xcaret resort in the Mayan Riviera. While there, we visited Cancun and Tulum. We spent one full day and another evening at the amazing theme park attached to the resort. Beyond that, we went to the beach, swam in and lounged by the pools, listened to some live music, and shopped. Food and drink was inclusive, so it was really nice.
Another time, we spent a week on the big island in Hawaii and packed every day full of incredible activities.
Recently, we spent a week in the Albuquerque and Santa Fe area of New Mexico. It was fantastic.
Two weeks is barely enough for other places. My wife and I spent two weeks in Ireland and had the most amazing time. We wished we could have stayed longer.
A few years ago, we spent two weeks in San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, Mexico. We stayed with friends in San Miguel and they showed us around. It was a great trip.
When I was 34 years old, I spent a month in Europe with my parents - three weeks in Germany, France, Luxembourg, and Belgium, two days in England, and five days in Ireland. On the continent, we went to the Normandy area and places where my dad had been in WWII, and spent a lot of time along the Rhine and Moselle Rivers and romanticshtasse. It was magical.THough I love my home, I love the adventure of travel. If I could afford it, I'd spend a month in Paris and travel to nearby countries like Belgium and the Netherlands... Spent 10 days there years ago and though all I saw was wonderful, it was just the surface. It takes dedication and effort to explore that incredible city.
Would also like to spend two weeks in Cozumel, Mexico and the same at the Great Barrier Reef scuba diving. Would also like to visit various countries in Africa. Another month. Again. I HAVE TO START PLAYING THE LOTTERY!!!Ideally? As long as possible, especially if it’s in a new country/ culture I’m not familiar with. I would soak up as much time as possible and live amongst the locals. I prefer to go to areas I’m not familiar with
On average I do like 3-4 days which is like a weekend and a day or something.I like to go for a week or two or three, cause I don’t like airplanes and since they cost so much money - I feel the vacation has to last long enough to compensate me for the trouble of going on an airplane, and I love hotel rooms cause the beds are soft and clean. Like I only vacuum my room once a month or so but hotels are cleaned every day and they are created to be aesthetically pleasing while my room is mix matched colour wise.
The ideal vacation is 3 weeks long and this is a hill I will die on.
1 week to recover from life.
1 week to do tourist vacation stuff.
1 week to recover from your vacation and prepare for life.
It's not worth it to be to be gone for 4 or less days. 5 days is the bare minimum for quick trips.Honestly given my profession if I take more than week off the stuff at work really back up and cause me weeks of anxiety to clear off my desk and catch up. With that said for mental health reason, I can not under apricate the importance of taking time for yourself and just unplugging.
Depends where am going, that further i travel the longer i stay there. When we came to California, we stayed for 2 weeks, 14 hours flight, one way. If i go to Spain, Italy, England or any othere european country that is close to Sweden, i go there for 3-4 days. A week vacation to other countries that are 4-7 hours flight a way. I don't get home sick because am having fun
I'm also happy with short holidays of 3-4 days when close to home.
When I'm flying away to the sun, a week to 10 days is ideal. That gives me time to visit the nice places around where I'm staying. I won't be on the beaches except one day to rest. I'll be hiking and visiting places.Although I did a three-week, cross-country road trip across last July, when I'm traveling in the States, a week or two is typical.
If I'm traveling overseas, then it's three weeks minimum. When I took my Asian vacation- Sydney to Shanghai, it was nearly six weeks. That was a long time to be away from home, and everything that I'm familiar with. Even so, it is all a part of the adventure of traveling. If we're going to go on vacation in the US, it's for at least a week, that's one day to get there and one day to return. If we're traveling internationally, we like at least 2 weeks of vacation. A few years ago, preCOVID, we were gone for 21 days for a vacation in Europe, that includes travel times.
Depends on the vacation. For a trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee about 4 days (3 night stay, leave the evening of the 4th day) is plenty for me. If I am feeling overwhelmed by people and want a trip out in nature to think or get reinspired to live life again, about 2-3 weeks.
2 weeks yeah that's a good time frame I've been watching YouTubers that travel they said that after about 3 weeks is like when it starts getting to you but then again they travel a lot cuz you do start to get that feeling of man I wanna get back home to my bed, I wanna get back home to my house and do my own thing
I'd say for me the best length of time is usually 7 - 10 days, especially if I'm traveling a longer distance like Mexico or Hawaii. Since I'm basically spending a day traveling I like a longer stay to relax and enjoy where I'm visiting. A few years back my former girlfriend and I went to Mexico for 18 days and that was a bit too long, mainly because of my dog and cat and I was missing them.
I rarely go on vacations and if I do is around my town. I can't really remember my last vacation. I was probably 15 or 16 when I actually took a vacation and it was a youth group. We went to Colorado for a week of mountain biking horseback riding, and watersports. I really need a vacation at least 4 it 5 days.
The best ever holiday I had was 6 weeks in Jamaica.
I wish I could do that again.
But ideally a minimum of 2 weeks, a week to acclimatised get familiar, make some friends and explore, chill then prepare to return.Never less than 3 months, but I very rarely go on actual holidays.
I work in water-sports / snow-sports, so I tend to combine work and travel, and I've done "working holidays" through helpx / workaway / wwoof etc as well.I'm that weird kind of person that hardly takes vacations or time off. So my boss will attempt to pressure me into using vacation time. But I typically will only take less then a week and tend to quickly return to work after surgery.
If my husband is with me, I'd like to stay on vacation for a month or more, depending on where I'm at.
If my husband isn't with me, no more than 2 days.depends where. a weekend trip close by or within 2hr flight is fine, considering that now. going overseas...1.5 to 2w.
I'd rather live on vacation and occasionally work.At least ten days (close destinations) to three weeks (far destinations). Otherwise, why even bother? I want to see a lot of things, travel locally, try out food, etc.
