Although, the last day of the trip actually was miserable because it rained all day and night. It rained right through everybody's tents and half of us woke up with a cold the next day. It was just awful.

If you never been on an island, you need to question, why you haven't been traveling in your life. Because there is island everywhere, you never setting a foot on one must mean you basically must have rooted yourself. I mean many cities near rivers and lakes has islands.

Throughout my life, I've traveled to numerous islands, including Catalina Island. Furthermore, I've lived on an island in Southeast Asia before.
In fact, I kept my house on that island and I intend to vacation there soon.
I'd like to buy a beach house in either Maui or Kauai.
Yeah, Tom Sawyer's Island at Disneyland. What, you didn't have a good time on Catalina? You would probably enjoy it a lot more now.

Loads. I'm a sea- kayaking guide, so I spend a lot of time island hopping. I've paddled around various UK islands, and a lot of the little islands near Vancouver Island (the Discovery Islands / Broughton Archipelago / Southern Gulf Islands) as well as Haida Gwaii. I go to the Scillies every year, and have been to the Farne Islands a few times, as well as Gotland and Fårö (Sweden). Probably others I don't remember right now...
I have been to 2 of them i did work for bill Bill Gates and he is on an Island very beautiful home his pool in the backyard I did the canopy for that and the 6 by 6 wooden beams going up to the trusses all the veins in them I made them look like gold very very beautiful
Well asides from living in the UK which is classified as an island. I've been to many Mediterranean Island, including, Corfu, Crete, Kefalonia, Zakynthos, Cyprus Majorca, Menorca, all of the Canary Islands, Madeira, and a couple of other tiny islands that i can't remember the name of.
The smallest Island I've visited was Maiden's Tower, which is an island about the size of a tennis court situated in the Bosphorus Straight. The largest island I've visited was Australia. If you consider Australia a continent and not an island, then the UK.
By the way, I've been to Catalina and found it boring.
I'm a sail-boater in a tropic area. So you can't really avoid islands :D
I like the less large ones with no inhabitants.
My favourites until now are Langkawi Archipelago (where I also have lived a few years) - and Koh Chang Group (lived there, too :D)
Yep. Catalina and two other islands off California. Three of the Hawaiian islands. Four Greek islands. Several islands in Thailand and Vietnam. Taiwan. Copenhagen, which is on an island. And Manhattan, which is also on an island. And a Caribbean island.
I've been to several islands in Greece but I forgot which ones.
I want to say Paros or Naxos was one of them, and none of them was Santorini.
They were the lamer, cheaper ones where Greek youth go to party during summer.
No. I dont trust being a small place thats completely surrounded by water
I've been to Catalina, England and Ireland a few times. I've also been on several small, coastal islands in the U. S. that require a bridge or ferry to get to. I've been to islands on lakes, too.
I've been to Catalina a few times. I've spent the night on boats in a couple of the harbors.
I also lived on Oahu for 5 months, quite some time ago.
I lived on the island of Great Britain for 6yrs from ages 1 to 7 with a 1yr break when I lived on the Mediterranean island if Ibiza for a year. (Ibiza was much nicer than England!)
one of our rich cousins used to own a summer house here in sweden, which was on a tiny "island". (as in, small enough for 3 houses. each with their own dock. Plus one "public" dock.)
I live in a country that is close to many beautiful islands but nope, guess I'm too lazy and broke for trips lol

I've been to Madeira cause my father's side of the family is from there, most of the time I don't even notice I'm on an island but the weather is usually pretty nice there unfortunately there's also a lot of cockroaches there
I actually live on one...Great Britain (part of the British Isles).
I'm English, so although we're on quite a sizeable island I think it still counts lol

Diego Garcia. 11.58 square miles in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Semper Fi! ;-)
@DryGermanGuy Thanks, but I was Navy.
That would be "Semper Fortis" then, as Wikipedia suggests. Are there Marines on Diego Garcia?
@DryGermanGuy I think so. There is equipment and data there that needs protection. I was only there for short visits while attached to a ship.
Military man?
@KostasKouvalis US Navy. 20 years active duty plus several years reserve time before that.
They stationed you on a British island?
@KostasKouvalis As I already commented, I was stationed on a Navy ship that visited there. But far more Americans are stationed there than British.
