Can I carry my dog's ashes onto an airplane with me?

She was the best thing in my life while she was alive and I just PERSONALLY want more than any other item in my possession to make sure her ashes stay with me at all times when I'm moving. I heard so many things about ashes being moved and I'm just concerned. I also worry they might check to make sure it's not drugs or something and then desecrate her ash box! Anyone at all know about this?

You'd be better to ship them UPS or postal. My daughter was stopped for a container with beach sand. They took a sample for testing. That was a domestic flight.

thats horrifying! She was like a daughter to me. I cannot possibly allow that. I'll have to ship her with my pod perhaps.

Yes you can. Most airlines require cremains (pet or human) be transported in carry-on baggage. If the pet crematory gave you documentation or a certificate of cremation, take that along with you. I’ve never known TSA or the airlines to pose any problems transporting cremains. It wouldn’t hurt to call the airline first in case they have any special instructions for your departure airport. Very sorry for your loss.

there are Esty artists and such who can make keychains with ashes if you want to do something like that, then you don't have to worry about carrying a box of ashes around

Why don’t you put them in a Tupperware bowl sealed tight in the suitcase and put them in a yearn after you land this is very depressing news
