Should I ask permission to go and pick up these airsoft bb's I left behind?

A long time ago maybe 10 or 11 years ago, my friends and I would have airsoft wars. Mostly on my property, but we once had it in a public field that is now gated off. If I see one laying around my house I'll pick it up but I don't go out of my way to look for them and pick them up. Should I go and ask permission to go inside this gated area and pick them up?

If it's been TEN YEARS and they haven't been picked up yet, then they're not important enough to bother with.
