Yes, I've done it.
Right after my marriage ended I bought an older 38 ft trailer. I gutted it out and sealed all of the various vents, and covered all the windows with plastic.
I bypassed the external holding tanks, put a bigger indoor water tank, modified a porta toilet with a better seat and internal holding tank, I put better furniture and a bunch of infrared electric heaters in it.
I moved it out to some property and hooked it up to power.

Depends on the RV, the hook-ups and the climate. Some are as nice as a condo.

Winter snow yes but it’s all repaired and ready

I mean when it comes time that you have to get it fixed or serviced, where will you go if the RV is your house?
