I almost crashed on the highway few times, what to do?

Depends…. why did you almost crash? If you’re driving distracted in anyway, i. e. texting, talking on the phone, eating, screwing around with your music, etc…. STOP THAT, haha.

If it’s just usual stuff, my advice is to drive defensively. When I drive, I’m not only paying attention to what I’m doing, I pay attention to what others are doing as well. I know people are dumb and reckless, so I just stay ready to react, I don’t get into battles with aggressive drivers and just let them pass me, I don’t tailgate and I watch not only the brake lights of the car in front of me but also of the next 2 or 3 cars. Be aware of when other nearby drivers are in hairy situations. If you’re on the highway in the middle lane, and someone is near you in the right lane as they approach an on-ramp with merging traffic, slow up a bit and give that other car room to switch into your lane if they want to, rather than stay side-by-side where they may reactively swerve into your lane in response to a merging driver.

Basically: drive the speed limit, give people space, anticipate actions/problems from other drivers before they happen and leave them an “out”, and just generally be patient. Everyone is wildly impatient, and that’s why there are so many accidents.
