Wanting to move away on my own. What are some tips?

I'm in a ldr, but my family are not supportive of it or him. For me to go and visit him means that they will not want me back home. So I figured that it is best for me to move away after the visit to him. I will still stay within my country, and already am looking at places to rent. I am looking at wages from doing overnight shifts at fast food chains. I am looking at universities and cheap places to rent nearby. But are there any tips as to moving? I will be driving there (so I can take my car), which is about 24 hours drive non-stop. May you please give me all the advice I need to survive, handle everything (I now budgets are a good idea), everything I need to know about renting, etc. thank you.

I think you better make sure that guy is going to stick with you permanently if you're going to choose him over your family. Otherwise you're going to have some big regrets and probably be in the hole financially, possibly with a child.

Just continue you to plan and save as much as you can if that is your goal. I think it is much your decision and hopefully in the end they'll see you've made the effort on your own. For whatever reason, love will still have an effect in making you decide on tasks, etc.
