Anyone been to Myrtle Beach?

I just got back from Myrtle Beach vacation, It was my first time going there , Ocean was awesome but I still consider Wildwood NJ the better beach so far , Myrtle didn’t really feel like a beach town to me , but it was still a great time , Maybe I am just use to the Jersey shores since that’s where I was born and raised. The ocean in Myrtle is definitely nicer than Wildwoods ocean but I still choose Wildwood as a better beach town , Anyone else feel Myrtle wasn’t that much of a beach town?

It looks nice. But im not a beach person unless we’re talkin Florida, Bahamas or Australia. I hope to visit one of them someday. I’ve sadly never seen a pretty beach in person. I've only seen MS/LA water and that shit was not pretty

Sorry to hear , you definitely have to get to a beach, it’s so relaxing and beautiful and the smell of ocean air is just awesome , definitely put it on your bucket list to do , you won’t be upset

Our beaches have dead dolphins washup and it smell like fish and oil 😂

Myrtle Beach is a tourist attraction. North Carolina has all the good beaches. Carolina Beach is what I would call a beach town, and the nearby Kure Beach has places that look the same as they did 2,000 years ago. There's a film studio nearby and if you want to see Carolina Beach, watch "Along for the Ride" on Netflix.

Yes…And I do not think Rumson, Fairhaven, Redbank, and surrounding beach areas compare to the South. Outer Banks 🏝 may be a better stop 🏖 next time. 😎

I never been to Outer banks but I heard there isn’t really much to do there either from what I have heard , But as of now I still put Wildwood NJ on the top as best beaches mainly because their is so much to do there , But I would like to experience something better than Wildwood so I am doing more research for my next beach vacation , I did enjoy The ocean water in Myrtle and will say that water is better than Jersey’s , much cleaner lol but for entertainment and things to do Wildwood wins

@Finchie40 "not much to do there" is kind of the point of it. It's an island in the ocean. It's meant for appreciating nature.

Yup. Myrtle beach sucks. It's overpriced, crowded, and trashy. (not that seaside heights isn't trashy, lol).

There are a million other good beaches in NC/SC to try. The Outer Banks, Surf City/Topsail, Wrightsville, Kure Beach, Carolina Beach, Oak Island, Ocean Isle, Holden Sunset Beach in NC, then Litchfield, Pawley's Island, Isle of Palms, Kiawah, Folly, Edisto, Hilton Head in SC.
