Should I be worried about the missiles that flew over Japan the last week as I’m in Japan for vacation? (Missiles sent by North Korea) ?

I asked the receptionist and he said it happens often that they threaten but never happens. I’m from Canada and I don’t know if he’s saying that so I don’t get worried. But I’m so worried since I have no family with me. I also got cosmetic surgery and get stitches removed in 3 days. Should I buy a ticket to leave immediately? I had a round trip to return to Canada on October 14
