Whar the h*ll is going on with Southwest Airlines?

They keep cancelling flights a lot and at a bad time. People are getting pissed

I have no idea, but I do know that they are a predominantly American destination to American destination airline. So if the weather conditions are affecting nearly every destination under their itinerary, it's going to look worse than a company that does international flights only because they're not experiencing it as much

I don’t know. Probably because it’s winter and the bad weather. Sometimes the planes are grounded so that no one gets killed!

Since the deregulation of the airlines in the 70s there has been a race to the bottom. Airlines slash prices to compete with other airlines so there are no longer meals cooked on board. Planes have more seats installed than ever so there is less legroom and they are much less comfortable. Airplanes have really become flying cattle cars. The staff is usually surly and there are surcharges for everything.
All airlines have gotten bad and their business model has been to just attract more customers faster than they can piss off the old ones.

Apparently they're short staffed. I think they're just incompetent, because there us ALWAYS some issue with Southwest

I've never really had an issue with them, personally. Once they canceled a flight on me because of snow but got me on a different flight that actually got me to my destination quicker.
