An Indian tour company says it's launching the 'world's longest bus trip, a 56-day excursion to 22 countries. A ticket costs $24,350.
India-based Adventures Overland says it will launch a 56-day bus trip from Istanbul to London in early August.
Along the way, the company says the travelers will pass through 22 countries and nearly 7,460 miles.
Half of the almost 30 seats — each costing $24,350 — are booked, the company's founder told Insider.

Hmmm, so an Indian bus company? That means that whenever they pass an open sewer they stop so people can squat alongside the road? Or do they just hang their ass out the back door? For that price I would expect the Hilton. Is this what the bus looks like? That may be a good draw. On the bottom pic everyone gets their own private room.

The bottom pic vehicle could only go in a straight line. No negotiating any turns, like in NYC. But it definitely would be roomy. :)

If the price includes overnight accommodation it's not bad value. I don't think I'd go for it, though. I'd rather take my time exploring a few cities in a couple of countries.

Why would I stuff myself into a bus like sardines, when I could rent a vehicle for less and hit the spots I really want to see, and stay in the places I want to stay.

I can probably get a limousine with driver for less money than that and I'll be a lot more comfortable

I'd rather get hit by a bus 56 times than ride on a bus for 56 minutes, let alone 56 days.

Granted it was some years ago, but my personal grand tour of Europe hit 14 countries over 12 weeks and cost about $8000 including airfare.
