Georgia baby.
SEC football, the little quaint towns, the ocean, Florida is right there, the taxes and politics are more level. Anything on the west coast, although it is beautiful, I wouldn't want to live under the far left taxes and politics. OR is not as bad as California to where it is run by lunatics but it isn't far behind. I mean that beautiful area hasn't been destroyed like Portland but the same politics and tax system, Covid take overs... etc. run that state.
Bend OR is definitely beautiful and I'd love to visit there... just not live in Oregon.
I liked Bend when I was there when just out of college, but I understand the area has tripled or more in population since then so I'm not sure it is anything like it was.

I've been many times to Bend. Only once to Georgia and didn't make it to Savannah. I wouldn't really wanna live in either of them, but if I absolutely had to choose, I would choose Bend. Georgia's geography is kind of boring and it has a bad climate and too many black people.
Lmao
Assuming I needed to pick between humble communities, it would rely upon different variables. I would prefer to live in Pleasantville, despite the limited information provided. Its tranquil name suggests a pleasant and tranquil setting, which is appealing. In addition, the area's proximity to a river provides opportunities for scenic views and leisure pursuits. Some people may find a slower pace of life and a sense of belonging in the small-town charm and close-knit community appealing. Pleasantville seems like a nice place to live in general.
Oregon is a flakey place my sister lives their and tells me so.
No interest in the southern US. Too much church.
Bend Oregon.
