Sharks are wild, unpredictable fish. If you like taking risks that expose you to danger, go ahead. I suppose you'll have loads of pictures, but I think there's loads of safer diving far more fun and interesting and I've done some of it.

The ocean bottom in 25-75 feet has much to see all over the world. Great Barrier Reef, areas off Cozumel, even oil rig dives off the Gulf of Mexico. I hope to do No. 1 and No. 3 before too long. Have done No. 2. Was lovely straight off the beach and during a twilight dive: cuttle fish, basket sponges as big as a man's leg, the colors, variety.

Sharks are big, ancient fish that are dangerous. I get my thrills in other ways. I'd rather see whales in Alaska, or dolphins, which I did when fishing in Lake Borgne this past Friday; and in the distance an alligator as long as our bay boat. Pulled in a haul of speckled trout with my son and cousin under clouded skies and streaks of sunlight.

I take few and small risks and seek beauty and variety. I don't get much of that from sharks.

I prefer people observe animals in their natural environment... and I'll be praying for them from the shore.

If you want to purposely antagonize sharks, then it's good to have a metal cage between you and them... I've seen plenty of sharks in the ocean from a distance when diving. They've always left me alone. But I remember one time when I was surfing in Juno Beach just off a reef a a tiger shark swam right under me maybe 2 or 3 feet from me. I yelled shark as it darted past my brother who was about 10 feet closer to shore, then I heard the screams of pain a couple seconds later of some other surfer I didn't know about 50 feet away. We got out of the water quickly to help. By the time I got to shore the other surfer was on shore limping up the beach with other people that lent a hand. a giant chunk of his leg was gone and blood was everywhere. They strike fast even when you don't chum the water with blood and guts... Stay safe.

It's for cowards. No cages, just go in with sharks without those barriers; sharks are dangerous but they are not the insane drama that has been portrayed by thriller movies.

its amazing and i can only say do it if you get the chance. i was lucky enough to do this in South Africa and was amazed at the sight of the shark so close and how stealthy it was. its perfectly safe and dont follow films like 47m down etc as this will only put you off and very unlikely to happen.

i can also recommend that you try shark diving out of the cage also. i was luck to do this on the barrier reef in Aus. again it was truly amazing experience and one i will never forget. i was told before hand that they would be swimming around my head and just to not panic. they are after the food in the bin that was brought round in front of all the divers and as it passed i must have had 5-7 sharks swimming around me, they weren't interested in me, they just wanted the food. the bin was then taken into the middle of the area (away from the divers, but close enough that we had a good view) and then opened the bin and the tuna heads popped out. a feeding frenzy then started and was amazing to witness. after the heads had been eaten, the sharks all disappeared not interested in us as we are too bonny and not very nice to eat lol. after which we carried on our dive and saw the rest of the reef.

What made 47 meters down is that its one of those “Was it a dream the whole time?” Type film. You never really know but feel like you wasted your time. The action however was good like in The Shallows

@Fuentes From what I know there aren't many homeless people. It's a rich country but its resources and people are misused. The fact that we had the same president for 38 years and two wars also didn't help us.
Not many people visit Angola, so it's not known for tourism. I wouldn't advise you go out at night if you visited my country and you should avoid certain areas in the capital city, Luanda.

Know a person who does it without the cage. It is done in a group and they sort of huddle together. Maybe they look too big for the shark that way.

I don't have the least idea why she does it.

I love sharks! With the right cage setup I’m totally down, though I’d probably opt to go with diving gear instead of an air line run from the boat in case the shark gets a little curious about the line.

Not my idea of a good time. But hey, if someone else wants to, they should enjoy themselves.

It looks like an adventure, but for me I wouldn’t like it just because I kinda have a fear of the ocean. How deep it is and I’m alone.

The idea sounds dope. But I've seen too many terribly made horror movies about equipment malfunction in relation to diving w sharks. Irrational fear? Maybe. Still won't go😂

I find it awesome, as long as the shark wasn’t abused.

Perhaps. But also true. Here the thing: while the death of those five people is tragic, OceanGate's design was unconscionable -- and we shouldn't avoid saying that fact.

@menina a psyop means a Psychological Operations (Psyop) our Military and CIA and NSA and other federal Law agencies have Psyop Groups among them.

I do think the US practices this among our people to distract us. Im only speaking out of theory but I personally think It was a distraction is all to get people to ignore the US just sent another 6.5 billion to Ukraine on accident, they say lol meanwhile the people are still homeless & inflation is still up.

So you think that the Titan accident was a Pysop or are you talking about shark cage diving?

Yes, I do hate that Lol It's not true. There are white people who were born, raised and who live in African nations. I also hate when people assume that Africa is a country.

I know what you mean. I guess Africa is seen as country not a continent mostly by people who don't live in an African country.
True, some African nations have a lot of races. It's not just black people.
