Disneyland.

We didn't live far away when I was growing up. It open a year and a half after I was born. Our family, often including my grandparents, went there at least once a year. It was affordable and fun for the whole family.

Even when I was in high school, general admission tickets were I think $6. We used to go to see bands, have fun, and try to pick up girls.

But at some point, it got super expensive, way over crowded, and tailored to the well off. It's no longer a family place. And Disney Corporation has become evil.

New Orleans… I actually had a great time and the food was so good, but the mugginess and smell from the river put me off. Not to mention the cockroaches I’d see scurrying at night on the streets 😭

People try to say that it’s normal for cities, but I’ve been to NYC a number of times, Seoul, Boston, San Antonio, Rome, Paris and I haven’t seen the amount of cockroaches I saw in New Orleans.

I stayed in Baltimore Maryland, USA at a Holiday Inn that was surrounded by 3 m fence and locked up at night. I asked the front desk where's a nice spot to go for an evening walk and she highly recommended against it. Caught my cruise boat the next day. When I returned from the cruise, I decided to hit the road.

I think it was Flourisant? Somewhere right outside of St. Louis when I was driving cross country. Tweaker came up to me while I was pumping gas in this shot-up armpit of a neighborhood. Tried to sell me drugs. I wasn't feeling social so I just flipped open my badge. he goes "so that's a no then?" and stared at me. Yeah that's a f'ing no. He counters with "okay when you change your mind later you know where to find me"

Florida Everglades. Most of the mosquitoes I've seen in my life were on the one day I was in the everglades, along with number 1 though 1000 of the largest spiders I've ever seen.
