For American's who have NEVER travelled abroad, why is that?

Don't have the money to travel

I don't have a passport/difficulty getting a passport/passport too expensive

I can't ever get enough time off work/can't afford to take that much time off work

I don't want to go alone/can't find someone/people to go with me

I'm too scared to travel abroad

I've never wanted to travel abroad

I legally can't leave/legally can't visit where I want to go

I haven’t even fully explored my state. All my extra money goes into more pressing matters, I have a list of other states I’d like to visit first and the world is a bit more of a dangerous place these days and I don’t fancy becoming a statistic.

I’m statistically more likely to die in car accident on the way to work. Doesn’t mean going into Cartel territory or visiting a place like Russia right now is a smart move. Americans have one of the lowest percentage of people without passports, of all countries in the world. Why? Because the country is so large and varied, a person can experience enjoyable travel and culture without having to leave its borders.

I live in Southeast US and I know a few people who have never left their home state, let alone travel abroad.

America is such a big and various country, that you don't need to travel elsewhere. You can live whole life in america and travel a lot internally, and still be able to fid interesting and amazing places by the time of your retirement. Although i would still recomment americans to take a 1 month vacation and travel to Europe.
