I don't necessarily think people hate Americans, but really it seems a bit popular mainly in Europe for them to sort of look down on the wag Americans do things.. Since America is kina the country most countries either love or hate I guess it makes sense.. What they don't understand is that America is a huge country with all types of people..

As a American, myself i do believe most people just view us as controlling, slightly ignorant, prideful and annoying. At least thats the reason why i don't like a lot of my people

What I think the reasons people hate Americans would be that:

1. They think they are no. 1 in everything.
2. They invade any poor country they want, and then they act like they are doing good for that country.

(My country, Pakistan, faced a lot of terrorism of Taliban because of America. Not only that, American drones killed a lot of innocent people including children of my country when they said that they killed Taliban leaders which they didn't. )

What I think the reasons are for people wanting to travel to America:

1. It's a free/secular country. Nobody is forced to follow their or any religion and maximum freedom is provided to the people.
(Most Muslim or third world countries have strict rules. Like in Pakistan, a Muslim is kinda forced to practice Islam, at least some parts of it, while non-Muslims have a little more (only a little more) freedom.)
2. Most of the big tech companies are mainly located in America.

All you need to know about which is the greatest country in the world is to count the number of people trying to get in.

There is no country in the world that has more people trying to get in (both legally and illegally) than America. People of every race are willing to risk their lives and everything they own just to put a foot inside our border. They know that no other country in the world offers them more opportunities for freedom and prosperity, less racism, sexism and class discrimination than any other place in the world than The United States of America.

Ironically, the only people who DON'T appreciate this fact is half of the people who ACTUALLY ARE AMERICANS.

I say we should kick the ungrateful half of Americans who don't appreciate how good they have it out the door to one of the places they love so much like Communist Red China or Russia or Cuba or Iran or one of the Crapistans and replace them with people who GET IT from elsewhere.

It probably has a lot to do with how the news is reported in their country. How America is portrayed on their news and how it really is can be two different things.

Funny, I was hiking in a National Park once, and a guy from an overseas country stopped me to start railing on the US. I thought it was odd that someone would think to talk like that on a trail in a National Park. Everything he said was nonsense and I don't even know how he came up with it. He was with his wife, who was originally from the US. She looked a bit embarrassed... LOL

Another brazilian online friend loves usa because he says there is justice there
Many people from the north of mexico like the u. s.
Sure there are some who dislike, and sometimes strongly, Americans because of the media but i do not think people here hate Americans
I realized that Americans are normal and even nice people, in general

I know a lot of nice americans, my cousins are technically americans as they were born in florida and california but I usually imagine most americans as ignorant, jingoistic, lazy and just really annoying
I know that not all americans are like that and I know that there are plenty of people here that are like that but it's just what comes to mind

People travel everywhere, and the people that hate americans are probably not the ones going there. You can also like American culture but hate the imperialist foreign policy they have, there's a lot of different possibilities.

I do not hate Americans, but not very excited in seeing them neither,...

I live in UK and have not intention to go to US any time soon, maybe next decade, for holiday... I'm comfortable with Europe and Asia...

Fact that I never been on that continent does not keep me awake at night...

For similar reasons people travel to Madagascar or Thailand.
You get to see some nice landscapes, and you have a look at the natives.
Once holidays are over, you're back home and say to yourself:
''How lucky I am, to live in a normal country''

I don’t hate Americans but I think the racists in America are biased and low value and potentially dangerous but America is also filled with millions of incredibly kind and loving people who accept people of all races and cultures.

There are a few interesting sites in the US of a natural variety, but I wouldn't really be making any visits for cultural interest.

I suppose I'm most likely to visit the US by way of Hawaii on the way to or back from Japan at some point.
