What kind of footwear can I wear to drive to the beach?

I have to drive to the beach in a couple of days. I want to wear slide shoes but are they safe or should I drive barefoot? If none of them are possible I'll have to wear sneakers but I don't want to because it's a beach day.

You all say to wear shoes but I don't want to put my feet into closed shoes after walking on sand

I usually wear sandals at the beach. I have a good pair with straps to keep them on,. These are not flip flops.

Even you can't screw that up.

But I onno, bring some driving shoes and change em.

I can drive with flip flops, and can drive without them. Just make sure you put that flip flop in the backseat.

Just wear your regular sneakers and change footwear once you arrived at the beach.
