I googled Las Vegas hotels in Canadian dollars and they are going for $500 - $1000 a night. This is crazy! Is everyone a surgeon or a banker? How do you find a crowd of 80,000 visitors who have this type of money?

Go during the week, unless you are going for the clubs. On a popular weekend you will pay through the nose. Which is an appropriate term since the rooms cost about as much as a cocaine binge.

Rooms vary enormously by day of week and month of year. Post-covid, conventions are coming back, and if there is a big convention in town, or a number of smaller ones, prices skyrocket.

But yeah, people (not me) splurge in Vegas. They may not be rich but they want to live like it for a few days. If you and a few friends want bottle service in a nightclub so you can have a place to sit, expect to pay $400 for a $30 bottle of booze , with mixers. A lot more on weekends.

Most I’ve seen go for under $200 USD.

Even the Conrad at Resorts World.

If they are quoted $500 they can sometimes get deals with their credit cards or from being a member.

I only paid $200 for 3 nights at a nice hotel in Washington DC when the going rate was about $400 per night at the time.
