Trending & News Yes, about half a dozen times. I used to work for a bank/credit card company and we had offices in a Vegas suburb, so I had to go there a few times a year for a week at a time to train people.
Vegas is centered around gambling. I'm not much of a gambler, and I don't drink, but many of the bigger bars would have cover bands that were pretty good, so I might go and get some bar food and a soda and listen to the band for a couple of hours and meet people.
If you're into shows, they have those (I'm mostly not). And if you're interested in expensive, upscale designer shops, they have those too (I'm not). But the restaurants are good, sometimes entertainment is good, special events can be interesting, and there's various types of less common entertainment - high-end video-game arcades, a couple of indoor gun ranges near the strip where you can rent machine-guns, and a few different museums.
I was never big on the night clubs, but I'm reliably informed that such clubs are WAY down from their peak in the early 2000s - before smartphones and way before Tinder.
And, yeah, there's plenty of problems too, especially if you aren't distracted by the lights. Lots of drunk people being stupid. Drugged out zombies (though they try to keep them away from the strip), and bad, dangerous traffic (use the foot bridges!).
Yes numerous times. Although I have not spent much time there in a few years. It can be fun especially if you stay in a hotel in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. Lots of stuff going on, on the sidewalks. If you are serious about going, check out online ahead of time and figure out which shows you'd like to see, as well as which hotel you'd like to stay at.
i only went there once when i was 13. from what i remember it was pretty chill
93 years ago. Pretty sure it was basically just desert then.
Been there many times.
Not really appealing to me.
Who goes to a place many times they don’t like that much
Me.
My husband & his parents have businesses in LV and he always asks me to accompany them whenever they have to check on operations.
Also, I've been asked by a personal friend to support him ringside as he boxes against opponents for another of many highly-billed boxing matches in LV.
Besides, I have friends in Vegas that are always longing for my visits.
Other than those reasons, I don't desire to see LV except for watching the upcoming F1 Grand Prix live from my pre-paid VIP seats and guaranteed VIP suites.
oh I see, so you’re super important it seems
I will say, without a doubt, that I truly had fun last night throughout the entire race and after.

Vegas is pretty boring and sucks unless you're really into gambling and drinking and wasting money in a desert... They have okay places to buy non alcoholic drinks I guess. Food is meh. I've driven through a ton on road trips and stopped a bunch of places going through. I wouldn't even pay $50 to fly there for a vacation when tickets were that low. It's just bad and a really over hyped scam.
Nope. I don't gamble. The desert isn't the greatest place to hang out. I live in Florida, so we already have tons of amusement parks, out door activities, live shows, and concerts. We even have the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and gambling cruise ships... Not that I use them. Why would I spend money to go somewhere that offers me nothing of interest.
Yep, a dozen or more times over the years. The first few hours are usually fun and then I can't wait to go home. I wouldn't want to spend a whole week there.
But if you've never been, it can be fun I guess. Just don't plan on driving unless you want to get out to Red Rocks SP or the Hoover Dam or Valley of Fire SP and other places away from the city.
yeah, that’s the plan. Plus I get free parking at Caesars.
been there many times I used to live 80 miles away would go there twice a month mostly to go to restaurants that I did not have in Bullhead city and gamble a little which I am. ahead in that by a few thousand but it is like any big city lots of traffic and crime
It's like no other place. I recommend seeing it at least once.
I've been a dozen times. Because I used to live in LA, so about a 5 hr drive.
It's an adult playground. 😈
I have twice for business. it is very loud and very bright. it is also fairly trashy. not trashed really but trashy. everything is very overpriced the casinos can be fun but largely not worth visiting or living in
I was there for twitchcon or recently it was something different there was a lot of homeless people they also smelled weird but it could have also been the convention stench
Vegas has gotten to be too expensive, but you can sure have a cheap good time if you know how. There's a lot to do besides gambling, and there's plenty of free music too.
cheap how? Yeah. It’s crazy expensive now.
Get off the strip and find the specials for meals and entertainment. Depending on when you go, there's deals at airbnb's for as little as $60 a night that will sleep 4 people. Sure, you'll pay top dollar for name acts, but you'd do that anywhere.
Many moons ago. Just a convenient plane landing/take-off place to something that is really enjoyable such as sightseeing, see the Hoover Dam, plus we saw one show (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum).
I enjoy Las Vegas. I don't go to gamble, but do go to look, see, and got to the great shows they have
Yeah, it was funny. Great location for those who enjoy people watching.
It's a tourist trap for gamblers and those with an appetite for legal prostitution.
It’s not legal in Vegas. You have to go to a different county I think.
I haven't yet, but I would like to go at anytime in future
Las Vegas is like Disneyland for adults - but on Crack. you either love it or hate it.
I don't gamble much but it is an interesting place to visit.
Not very inexpensive anymore.
Everything was expensive, I was also only 20 so I didn’t get the full vegas experience but tbh I wouldn’t want to go back.
Yup when I was little! I only remember getting banana flavoured cotton candy and a hello kitty soda lol, and all the interesting street people.
I have been there when I was 19. I want to go back to see some shows and new hotels and eat at hells kitchen
Fun, but a bit fake. Would like spend more time in the older part.
I've been there once. Honestly hated it. The people there are too hypersexualized.
Yes, expensive and overrated, but that is true with most of the USA.
Only through passing. I didn’t do any sight seeing.
Vegas makes my skin crawl. It's like Disneyland for adults, a facade
yes many times and love it
what about it?
it's disgusting.
Yes. Overrated.
No but would love to go 💕
no but i want to
It was nice
Fun …
No thanks
