Bastides are a south France thing aren't they? We've got medieval walled towns here but not as well preserved and a lot were sadly demolished in the 18century.

Are you asking for a man's opinion? Everyone is different, but I think many men are interested in castles. Probably quite a few played with such toys or games when they were younger. I've been to a few castles in Europe and Asia. I'd like to see more.

This is the Sultan Ahmet Mosque built in Istanbul in 1617.
The French village is magnificent. Thank you very much for sharing the photos of this village. In addition, I like to introduce the historical buildings of my own country.

I wish I could see all of them. I was lucky enough to see a few - with, and without a bastide (Hautes Alpes, Cevennes, Ardeche )
Always up for a fortified town. Looks very cool.
WOW , the complete history of Europe , sensational.
That looks more like a small town than a village, but I like it yes, it's very pretty.
Yes, it's not very big, but it's absolutely beautiful. I couldn't show you all the beautiful corners of this village. As I said to Ryan, it was like a trip back in time, very traditional, with these beautiful streets and houses, and I ate in a traditional restaurant, which was delicious.
The village is perched on a cliff 210 m
Domme
You didn't visit the cave?
I know, I saw that. I'm surprised a place like this has a specialist like that. Shame it wasn't under different circumstances, but it's still nice that you got to see it.
Ryan, that would be wonderful couple days worth of exploration.
Which King? Also this is pretty cool, we got done learning about the French Revolution a month or so ago
It looks like a beautiful place to spend a day or two getting lost in. 😊
I couldn't put up all the beautiful photos of this village. It's like traveling back in time, it's so beautiful, and I ate in a traditional restaurant that was delicious.
I went there in August to visit my sister who was in hospital there, because she has fibromyalgia and only they have something specialized.
There you go, you can add it to your itinerary
Would you take me and my friend and show us around?
That's really pretty.
As English man this does not impress me xD
nice phottos. for my pictures sufficed
Were there hot French girls there?
I am getting flashback haha
Normandy?
Wow, I was so wrong lol
Are you from there?
Ah, so near Bordeaux. I lived in France for a long time but I never had a chance to visit Gironde the Dordogne. I saw mostly ile de France, Brittany, Normandy and Provence and Nice.
I come from the East US but my parents got divorced and my mom married my step father (who is French and was working in the US at the time) when I was 8 years old.
When my step father moved back to France, my mom, sister and I moved there with him. We lived in Paris most of the time (we kept moving around... I lived in several different parts of Paris over the years) and Nice, where we have an apartment there.
I've lived in France for four years, off and on, and I love France and especially Paris, since I lived everywhere, there). I know and love Paris better than any other city in the world.
I haven't gotten a chance to use my French for a while, it has gotten a little rusty, grrrr
De rien 🙂
Id love to see it.
