Make the best of it , as much as you can , it socks to be forced to live somewhere that you aren't really use to or you dont really want to be at , especially if it's for a job? If it's for a job , start applying to other jobs if you really don't want to move , I am dealing with that now with my jcurrent ob, my job closed the doors in my area and now they want me to transfer to another city and want me to sell my home etc.. I have some time to make a decision , so I am just weighing. my options and been applying to other jobs , so iI don t have to move,
I won't but If I have to move , then I will make the move and see how it goes , if I don't like it , I will keep trying to apply to other jobs , it's usually best to land another job before leaving a job so it doesn't screw up your finances

I've been to both.

I'll take Vancouver WA since it's right across the Columbia River from Portland.
It's beautiful and the traffic isn't so bad.

Of course, nearby are Mount Hood, Mount Adams, Mount Saint Helens, and, a little farther away, Mount Ranier and Mount Jefferson - all volcanoes - so that's not so good. The Cascades Volcano Observatory is based in Vancouver WA since the Vancouver/Portland area is near the center of the volcanic Cascades mountains.

Vancouver, Washington. I  dislike that state other than its natural aesthetics immensely , but I'll take a ~200K pop town in a bad state over a big city in any state, any day of the week. Georgia is arguably the worst state in the South anyway, but Atlanta specifically is  awful  (and also responsible for about 95% of Georgia's problems). Outside of California, I consider it the worst big city in the southern half of the USA, very much a southern equivalent to Chicago from corrupt politics to a totally FUBAR airport.

I would prefer to stay out of the south. But Vancouver looks kind of rural which usually means a lot of angry and insecure hillbillies - which is why id want to stay out of the south. Hm. I suppose Atlanta.

Whichever is a single story home because living in high-rise not emergency. That's just too far to be on your way down. So you know that's out the ferris wheel. Well I get busy after while try to sleep going around and around on the ferris wheel that's out. So I'd like to be on ground level. You know I mean emergency come up run out the house get in your car and gone all that glitter is not gold

This is a no brainer. Atlanta is crowded, crime-ridden, expensive, and unbearable to be in during the summer months. Vancouver, WA has milder weather although it can get cold in winters. It doesn't rain much there like other parts of Washington, and it's close to Canada!! They're on a river, and they've got wineries nearby.
