What I loved most about Massachusetts is what I did every Saturday morning from late 2012 to July 2020...
Every Saturday morning, I'd drive my car north on US-5 from Enfield Connecticut (CT) to the Pride gas station just over the border in Longmeadow, Massachusetts (MA). Like many other drivers from CT, we lined up at that gas station to instantly save 25 cents per gallon on gasoline.
(*) In Enfield CT, US-5 is called Enfield Street, but, in Longmeadow MA, US-5 is called
Longmeadow Street. That's important to know because the location in the Google Street View image above is 2 Enfield Street, but the image has US-5 labeled as Longmeadow Street. Across the intersection, on the right, is a green Welcome to Massachusetts sign but you likely cannot read it.This is a picture I took in September 2013 just before I had to drive down to Long Island for my buddy's 50th birthday party so I had to fill-up my car. When I took this picture, I was parked at a business in Connecticut, but the Pride gas station across the street is in Massachusetts. I wrote this caption on social media: "I am standing in Connecticut on US-5. That gas station is in Massachusetts. I'm about to cross the border and save 25 cents per gallon!"

I live right on the border of Mass and RI. My address is RI but technically my apartment is over the MA line. I also work in Mass.
This area will always be home to me 😅

has one of the most beautiful water scenes I've seen where sailboats cross through the land. And that big battleship, I want to go see. I'd like to visit it more to explore...
but I sure hope doesn't go back to the ice age anytime soon, the ice was once very thickI hear... thank goodness for climate change.
beyond that, I think they need to work on their "r" pronunciation.
Another state I'd love to visit someday. 😊 I've heard more nice things than bad things about Massachusetts, I just don't know if I could handle the Winters there. I'm not a big snow person. 😅
Never a dull moment in Boston, Cambridge, Hyannis, Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket.
I can't wait for my next visit again to Massachusetts.
I wouldn't mind visiting Boston and of course Salem where the witch trials were held. I am a big historical buff so that would be my main reason for visiting Massachusetts.
I wonder if they pronounce Worcester and Leominster Whoochester and lemster like the English counterparts.
Will visit Fenway one day as I hope to visit all 30 MLB parks and have only visited 14. I find the Boston accent annoying.
I hear the western part of the state is pretty.
I briefly visited Massachusetts. The people were very nice and I love the old buildings but I couldn't live there. They get too much snow and it's expensive.
Been to Boston and Cambridge only see if I’d like going to college there. I remember getting impressed and also getting drunk (since there lots of bars) there. Fun towns.
Looks like a nice place I would visit. I love the Boston accent.
Couldn’t handle the cold or living in Boston, they don’t call the people massholes for no reason 😂 other parts of the state are nice though.
It’s fascinating. I’d like to visit it again some time.
Too cold
