It's a great place to shop for appliances or liquor if you're close by because there's no sales tax. Mainers and Mass folks do this all the time. If you live there, your property taxes are high because there's no sales tax. They fluctuate between red and blue politically, but the further north you go, the more redneck they are. The southern areas closet to Boston, Portsmouth and Maine, are more liberal.

Summer is short, fall is beautiful, winter is long, and spring is mud season. In my opinion, if you can stand the weather, the vibe in the right areas of NH feels way better to me than most any red state in the south or Midwest.

I would visit. I want to visit all 50 states but it's not a state that I would automatically go oh I would love to go here. It's just a state to visit because I've never been. I've heard neither good or bad things about New Hampshire.
