Audio books. I do love my music, and I'll start off those car rides with music, but after a half hour or so that's when I'll pop an audio book on and just let my mind SORT OF wander.

If it’s a daily commute, I’d mix it up. For a longer, one-time drive, I go for audiobooks.

During a long drive, I just tune... and retune... the car radio to whatever is clearest. It's just background noise to me.

If I'm with other people and we're doing a car trip, then it's mostly music. If it's me alone, sometimes it's music and sometimes it's podcasts/YouTube. And that's also true of my normal workday - about half the time it's music, and the other half it's YouTube. I am usually in the car 2-3 hours a day - some days less and some even more - so that's a lot of time.
