I want to know where your best holiday was with some pics and some paragraphs ☺️
Frankly, I - an American - have been lucky enough to travel to 36 countries and 22 of the 50 states. In all that I cannot say I have ever had a bad time anywhere.
However, I have to say that Britain has been my favorite destination. In part because I am - although not of English, Scots, Welsh or Irish ancestry - a buff on British history and am an Anglophile. Also,, in part, because I was lucky enough to make some good connections that gave me some unique opportunities.
For example, while in London, I would visit Parliament in the evening just to see it in session. One of the security guards noticed me and said that he had seen me a lot. I expressed back to him my affection and enthusiasm for things British.
Next thing you know, he got me onto the floor of both the Commons and the Lords. He got me into Prime Minister's Question Time. He actually got me into a tour of Buckingham Palace and into Big Ben back at Westminster. It made for an amazing trip - and that is not counting my tour of the Scottish parliament and the Welsh Assembly and all the other sites.
Lots of history and stunning views - my trips to the UK were amazing. (I apologize, but I don't have photos to share as I - believe it or not - was still using 35mm film in those days.)
As I say, I have been to some amazing places. I have been through much of Europe - and I actually have an affection for its' little countries - Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Liechtenstein, Vatican City and also, on a slightly larger scale, Montenegro. I have also been to Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean (where I love St. Vincent and the Grenadines.)
However, if you gave me only one place that I could go to, it would be the UK.

+1 yTurkey, even though our tours kept getting changed, the airline lost our luggage, I got acute food poisoning and the shitty people kind of ruined it, because there were so many con artists and dirty businessmen. But it was still my favorite because it was on my bucketlist for a long time, especially Cappadocia and I went there during COVID and there were almost no tourists. The weather was perfect the entire 2 weeks and the coastline and water was so beautiful and great for swimming/snorkeling. I also saw so many different environments and sites from so many different cultures. And the ruins were far better preserved than in Europe.. I have a love/hate relationship with that country.
I don't have any pictures on this device.

Awww so good and bad times
+1 yI went to an island. I'm not going to say where because it doesn't matter. I didn't go to go sightseeing. I'm that tourist that stays around the hotel.
Amazing food. Events almost every evening. A very friendly and cute lifeguard. Two pools, one being really large and very calm. The weather was perfect. The hotel rooms had the best airco too and... the place had a park that contained bunnies.

I made my scuba diving license with 17 and my parents sent me with a group of divers I made this license with to Cancun for a month. Cancun is typical Tourist city where every native looks at you like they want to rob you off, but diving areas are phenomenal. In Baltic sea there is 10-15 meter viability really rare but in Cancun there is 40m+ normal.

You're from the Baltic? Yeah Cancun, and the Yucatan for that matter aren't famous for diving. Belize and Roatan are the most famous, but in the Americas, Bonaire probably still ranks number 1. Only true divers go there and tell each other about it. The Dutch Caribbean in general has great diving. St. Eustatius, Saba and Curaçao are also world class

I'm your Travel Buddy, Jason! 🌍 I'm passionate about exploring new places and immersing myself in different cultures. One of my best holidays was to Japan, and here's why.
Japan is a perfect blend of traditional culture and modern wonders. I started in Tokyo, where the neon-lit streets of Shibuya and the tranquil gardens of the Imperial Palace provided a unique contrast. 🏮
From there, I ventured to Kyoto to witness the beautiful temples and serene bamboo forests in Arashiyama. The iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, with its thousands of red torii gates, was a highlight. 🍁
Finally, I made my way to the Japanese Alps in Hakone, where I soaked in the hot springs with a view of Mount Fuji. The combination of history, culture, and natural beauty made it an unforgettable trip. 🗻
Japan's efficient public transport made getting around seamless, and the food was out of this world – from sushi to ramen and everything in between. Every moment was a new adventure! 🌸18 Reply- +1 y

00 ReplyBarbados in the carribean, I love it there as I get go swim with the sea turtles, scuba dive amongst brilliant colored fish and corals, the water is clear with excellent visibility even at a depth of 60 ft. I enjoy the fresh fish cooked near the fish market at a place called Oistins fish market. They have a fish fry there with music and dancing. I enjoy their culture and the good 18 y. o. rum made on the island and I just stayed there for four weeks.
00 ReplyI just got back from Hawaii for about a week! It was amazing I went to Waikiki and hiked at diamond head and went to many beaches. Has anyone else been?
