We just did our Asia tour … 5-6 countries 55 days… I brought 5 outfits, two pairs of shoes. One small suitcase and one personal bag… that’s the allowance for carry on. We didn’t want to bother with luggage claims.

It depends. If it's to a resort where I'll be wearing shorts and polo or tee shirts than mostly those and a couple of lightweight linen trousers & dress shirts for dinner. If it's to a major metropolitan area it also depends on what I'm doing & where I'm staying. If it's a nice hotel and it's in NY, London, Paris, Copenhagen bring mostly fashionable but not business dress clothes. I hate dragging suitcases so I'll try to wear something decent & have a few changes in colors that mix & match easily. I could probably survive on a garment bag, decent suitcase & carry on. I like nice luggage as well so probably Tumi leather.

One. The places I'd stay always have laundry facilities, hair dryer, etc.. One outfit I'd be wearing for travel there and back, the rest would easily fit in one suitcase.
