Do you prefer visiting modern places or old places?

Even though I am fascinated by the future a lot, there is a different vibe when you visit old places and not modern ones. For example I wouldn't really want to visit Dubai I mean that would be amongst the lowest preferable destinations

I agree. I've considered Dubai in the past. I think it would be a good base point for exploring other places in the region, but I wouldn't fly to the UAE just to visit Dubai. If I had to go to that region, I would much rather visit Oman, but their culture is backwards.
Few years ago I would've went, or went on a Persian Gulf cruise, but now, probably not. Though Dubai does have some history and nature even. It would be cool to see the other side of the city, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Maybe if someone paid me.
However, I still think Dubai would be a cool place to visit on a layover.
The one plus about it, is that it's safe.
