Has anyone here ever worked in the North Atlantic around Nova Scotia? What was it like aside from the cold?

I have been there a couple of times. The ocean is very cold and in the summer the weather is cool most of the time and it rains a lot.
Still, it was a nice place to visit, the seafood was excellent. It was like Cape Cod without the crowds.
Haven’t worked out there, been on the water though. Got buddies that do. Winters get pretty wild for sure - lotta wind, lotta snow, pretty damn cold

I've never lived there, but the summers are incredibly short.
