Knowing those statues and having seen them countless times while I was in Bremen, I only thought one thing: those are Statues...

Never really thought about them. Same with the little Mermaid in Copenhagen.

There is definitely a story for those statues in Bremen, but is was more interested in the old stories about ancient Piracy in Germany, so I just ignored them.

Definitely looks like people couldn't keep their hands off the middle ones breasts causing the discoloration. Probably a ton of photos of people grabbing and cupping them just for a "funny" photo-op.
