How can more north be hotter than more south? (Both places in north hemisphere, obviously) how?

Unbelievable that sicily at 38 degrees north , cooled to 77 degrees Fahrenheit, actual temperature not obscured by average, while south from that, at latitude 33n, where we usually observe warmer,

the actual temperature cooled to 73f, how? We know south is warmer and north is cooler and cold arctic so how backwards? south cooler 73f,

but north warmer 77 f?

Many variations here depending on angle of suns , green house gases holding temperatures and even pollution contribute to that plus humidity

Angle of suns rays I mean and the absorption of the radiation like buildings in cities keep it hotter in those areas

But south is LESS angle. And city has buildings in both cities. And green house gas did NOT trap heat.

Something to do with the magnetic poles I guess since it affects the suns radiation
