I went to Kauai with my mom and older sister two years ago. Beautiful island (well some beautiful girls also... I was a horny teen at the time) Rainy on the Princeville side but very lush.. more sun on the south and wet side

My wife and I stayed for a week in a condo on the east side of the southern tip of the big island. We did all kinds of things. It was wonderful!
