How long was the longest flight you've ever been on and where were you going?

In air or by time? I sat inside a plane for 5 hours on the tarmac once before the flight could take off. It was a snow storm and we had moved to the runway when they stopped the plane. Couldn’t go back to the gate and couldn’t take off. But that flight was to California from Newark. 6+ hour flight and 5 waiting was only 11 hours. I had a flight to China that was 17 because of the Russia Ukraine war. Can’t fly over Russia while they are fighting so you have to fly around.

Family went to Hawaii when I was younger. If I remember correctly, the Chicago or Honolulu leg of the trip was 8 hours.

My longest flight ever was 16 hours on a 747 from Chicago (ORD) to Hong Kong (HKG).

I flew ORD-HKG several times, the flight was usually 14-15 hours but the longest one had an exceptionally strong headwind that the captain even told us about en route. In fact, we almost had to divert to Tokyo and refuel because 16 hours was the absolute max range of the flight.

9 hours from New York to Warsaw Poland is the longest one, shortest is probably New York to Florida which is about 2 hours, luckily I’m not far from an international airport. Anything more than 2 hours causes back pain so I don’t travel by plane often but have driven further which took days especially from New York to San Diego California but I did a lot of sightseeing in between

I have flown Jacksonville to Los Angeles a few times, but never non-stop. My wife returns to China every year, and it involves at least two connections. Her longest flight is either New York to Hong King, or Toronto to Tokyo.
