Does every US STATE have a WELCOME sign?

When you enter a US state, typically on an Interstate Highway, you might see a sign that welcomes you to the state.

Here's an interesting question...

The correct answer is NO. Every state in the lower 48 has a Welcome sign, as does Alaska when someone crosses the border from Canada on the Alaska-Canadian Highway. But Hawaii, as some have pointed out, has no Welcome sign.

I think every state at least has some sign somewhere that's a welcome sign so yes. But I am certain not every way you come in from the boarder does. It would be absurd to have them everywhere. Though you still have signs saying this way too etc etc place for sure.
So yes to the question and overall yes but you may not see one when entering despite that.

If any state does not, it would be Hawaii, since you can't arrive by car. Here in Florida:

I remember driving to Florida for spring break and after about 20 hours of driving we crossed into Florida. We all cheered because we thought we had arrived. It took 6 or 7 more hours to get to Ft Myers.

Pretty much every place here has one but I suspect in the USA it depends on from which direction your entering. For example I suspect Texas has one to the north but to the south it just says fuck off.

I used to travel a heck of a lot by land. I've even walked across several borders. I used to take pictures of those signs with the intention of getting all of them - but that project didn't get too far.

I have only ever been to N. Dakota Minnesota & Wisconsin. It was so long ago I don't recall. I'm betting all 52 don't have a welcome sign.

Is it 9? When i was a kid I used to send away for travel information from each state and also the Canadian provinces. I remember tht they really sent a lot of information. I think there was 8 or 9?

Update: Makes sense since no one can drive into Hawaii. There would be no way to just end up there without going there on purpose as a destination.

Every state that I’ve driven to does, but obviously Hawaii won’t since there’s no roads to it so it’s kind of a trick question but I’m pretty sure that the connected 48 states do

IUn Maine it does not say welcome. It says Maine, The Way life should be.
