You don't drive for a year for whatever reason, the next time you do drive consistently, how long do you think it would take to get back in rhythm?

My car was left for a few years, but then I decided to sell the car, and to hire cars instead.

I had been driving for a long time, and I was a very experienced driver, so perhaps someone else with less experience would be different from myself.

I found the actual driving, and my confidence returned almost immediately even with a different size cars, though going from an old car to a new one meant learning a more modern car system.

I found reversing into tight places was, and still is a little awkward, so I usually drive straight in, or reverse in much larger spaces, but I'm sure that's the same with any different car, and would take a few weeks to put right, even with the parking aids.

I generally think I'm now a slower and more careful driver, perhaps you are right it takes a bit of time to get back into bad habits.

Very quickly. I have gone years between driving a bicycle and between driving a motorcycle and I was fully reoriented after just a couple of minutes. Same with a tractor or big rig.

Obviously you aren't going to be at peak performance that quickly, but you should be able to get around without serious problems.

Maybe 1-2 times.. I think you'll get used to it quickly

Pretty much the same as with anything else I used to do a lot, years ago: a few seconds, if that. Yesterday is 21 years since my band broke up. If we had a gig in a few hours, I'm ready to jump back on stage right now!!
