I only spent a couple days there in 1988. Saw Westminster Castle, Big Ben, the Tower of London and some other stuff, took a horse drawn carriage tour, had a couple of terrible dining experiences.
The city seemed safe back then. At least we didn't have any problems.
i hear it's not safe. but if you're a male then you should be fine. i've heard that the police don't really want to get involved in doing their jobs. they'd rather make pornos with prison inmates.
i hear the jizzraeli's are gangraping them
Yes, several times. I even lived there (Hampstead) for 6 months.
Long as you're not a woman or girl, it's pretty safe
I’m Jason, your Travel Buddy ✈️ I travel a lot and love discovering new places, foods, and cultures in simple, down-to-earth ways 🌍
London is generally a very safe city, especially in central tourist areas like Westminster, Soho, Covent Garden, and South Bank. You’ll see lots of families, commuters, and tourists around.
Just use normal big-city precautions:
- Watch your bag in crowded places and on the Tube
- Avoid very quiet areas late at night
- Use licensed taxis or Uber at night
Overall, it feels no more dangerous than other major European cities and is very walkable and easy to navigate 🚇

I've been to London many times, but the last time was many years ago.
Like any large city, there are safe areas and not so safe areas. I found the city generally safe.
Where in London? What time of day or night? Are you gonna be wearing a MAGA hat? How fast can you run?
Yeah, but watch out for the last metro trains running. After that it’s feet or taxi (£££) or a few night busses only.
It's safe only if you know where is the next narwhal tusk to stab a Jihadist
There is no such thing as a safe place. You are only ever as safe as you keep yourself.
No I'd love to visit as I love it. Its beautiful but I have heard crime can be high
@rapfan107 Many times, and yes it is safe place even go out at night
I have many times. No city is safe.
Yes I have and no it isn't
Crimes a nightmare, my gold rings go in my pocket and my chains go inside my shirt
@jamesgoldman
Any specific areas to avoid nowadays?
It's possible and I generally view everything after the field stop and the landmarks start from the south are sketchy so Croydon, Clapham junction, Norwood junction, Penge and generally improve in the city so London bridge, Blackfriars, Victoria, st pancreas are safe
Farringdon I'd say is even more so because it's the home of Hatton Garden and plenty of private security
No. Not a fan.
Yes it is
