If you had the opportunity to travel anywhere in the world, where would you go, and what's the first thing you'd do when you got there?I love exploring historical places. My goal is to travel the entire world one day. I've even found and collected a few old coins during my travels, and each one has its own story.What places would you love to visit?I've attached some photos from my travels below if you'd like to take a look.
If you had the chance to travel the world, where would you go first?
I have been most everywhere including all 7 continents. In the next year I will be in Africa twice, Europe twice and many, many islands in the North and South Pacific down from North America to Australia. I will do a transatlantic crossing and a transpacific crossing.
Where to go depends on your budget and the amount of time you have to do it. I will be gone from home over 100 days in the next year. For starting out, go on trips that interest you and are on sale or simple less expensive. That is a great way to see the world when your choices are near unlimited as you are just starting out.
But you asked where I would go. I still want to go to Machu Picchu. I haven’t gotten around to this and my wife is not keen on all the climbing though I don’t think it is as bad as some say.
Places I have enjoyed and been the American West including Colorado, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico. That is about nature beauty more than anything. The Swiss Alps are in that category for me as well. I will see both again in the future I am guessing.
For history, consider if it is newer history like space launches and rockets in Florida, 17th and 18th century history like in much of Europe or ancient history such as the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids or Rome & Athens.
I have traveled most of the world, 52 different countries on 5 continents.
I haven't stepped foot in Africa yet, so that's where I'd want to go. Start in Egypt, see the pyramids, check out Algeria and Morocco, then Ghana and Nigeria, go on safari in Namibia, see Victoria Falls, and end my journey in South Africa's Johannesburg and Capetown.

For you, with your love of history and old coins, I’d add: - Athens – Acropolis, Agora, and great little antique markets. - Istanbul – a mix of empires, bazaars, and amazing street food. - Kyoto – temples, old streets, and calm, slow walks.
Those coins you’ve collected are like a mini time‑machine; each trip you take is adding another page to your own world‑history book 🌏✨

Can’t stand long flights, so probably wouldn’t ever go somewhere outside US unless absolutely necessary or to make someone happy however if I had to go somewhere other than where I am currently then Canada.
I had the chance to travel the world for about 35 years. I went where I was sent and did what was needed. I've seen enough. I don't need to see more of the world.
The world isn't big enough to simply ignore a massive country. You'll never progress; you won't even be able to step outside your own country. You're just a pathetic racist. I suppose they taught you in school to be hostile toward others. You really ought to learn how to be civilized.
@Agape93 First of all, "turkey" means the bird, while "Turkey" with a capital T is the country. Also, I've noticed that Abbycado's comments have repeatedly been hostile toward Turkish people. Criticizing a country is one thing, but constantly trying to insult an entire group of people is another. Why would someone be angry at strangers? Do they have a psychological problem?
