We've been married for 15 years and started a special savings account just for this occasion for almost that long and not know how many children we would have when the time came. If we are able to go when the youngest is 10 they will be 10. 14, 16, and 24 which might be our last chance with her as she should be beginning med school about that time.

I wouldn't even know how to answer that. I'm not the frequent traveling type. And i both neither take vacations and live life on a permanent vacation. In short i try to live life on my terms as much as possible. And trips to exotic far off places just does not light me up.

But i do enjoy short jaunts and get-togethers with my family. To me it's less where i'm at, and more the shared experience with who i'm with.

Nothing wrong with short trips at all. Getting together with family is always great. I only have an hours drive from school, so I come home for weekends to visit sometimes.

Stay in a hut on the beach of some deserted South Pacific island without having to look at a bunch of tourists. Sit under some palm trees, catch some fish and cook them over a fire, drink water out of coconuts, etc. Or stay in a cabin out in the forest or mountains, next to a river where I can catch some fish and relax.

@Masie I mostly enjoy going on wilderness camping, and also take my elder son with me, as he is fan of nude camping as much as I am.

We camp near a fresh water lake and it's beautiful and enjoy fishing swimming and relax there
