How do people live in big cities?

There's nothing but buildings and restaurants everywhere you dont even see a tree for miles or a farm field. I feel like i would claustrophobic.

I don't know how anyone can live in a city. Nothing but concrete and buildings one next to the other with basically no privacy outside of your 4 walls. This is the absolute horror and I would not feel well being obliged to live in a city with people sitting side by side like in a sardine can.

I need my greenery, air to breathe and not permanent air pollution, noise from the streets, the cars and the neighbors. Granted, you may have a shopping mall nearby that sells everything but the food is mostly highly processed and not so much fresh food as I can get it from the farmer next door.

Because big cities are more lively. There are more options, more things to do, and more places to go. Daily life is easier, there are always stores, bakeries, etc. within walking distance, I also like hang out whenever I want at cafes that stay open late. No nosy neighbors, and finding a date is way easier, you’d have to actually try to stay single. The police are also more active, there generally aren’t bums or homeless people around. I sometimes visit the countryside and hate it, life is just boring there. I have to walk like 40 mins just to get to a grocery store and half the time I get chased by stray dogs. The gossiping boomers are even worse than the dogs. There’s not much to do on weekends either, maybe go fishing or something.

How do people live in the middle of nowhere? There are no services for miles. It takes half an hour just to get to the grocery, instead of the three minutes it takes me to walk. It's hard to get together with friends, and there's no culture, no music, no theater, no restaurants. There's a reason urban housing is far more expensive -- people with money want it. There are a lot more people who want to live in New York, London, Paris, Berlin than people who want to live in Paris, Texas.

What we see over and over is that most people who find cities undesirable have never lived in one, and they are afraid of them -- afraid of the traffic, afraid of becoming lost, afraid of non-existent crime.

What is there to do in a small little town? And everybody gossip and everybody knows each other there’s no professional sports teams you have one movie theater if you’re lucky and one mall and that’s it. I’ll take a city anytime and I’ll watch my Miami Dolphins 🐬 play Football. 🏈
