3 cities in the top 10, not too shabby!
Its very livable. My city is big enough to have (a joke of a) international airport. It is on one of the great lakes in the US. We have amazing beaches and one that if you visited you might think you were in the Bahamas given the light colored sand and crystal clear water. We have a population on 100,000 people so it isn't too big or too small. Cost of living is relatively low. I am 1.5 hours from three major cities via car. That helps with flights as it's a lot cheaper to fly fry major hubs than our airport that has like 6 flights a day. The city isn't without problems but I love where I live. Although I went about 4 hours away for school I returned to finish my masters here and chose to stay here to now develope my career. It may not be the most ideal place for my career path but I live living here.
@Grond21 yes we have great beaches. You can check out the peninsula website.
@Nikki1989 thank you for most helpful opinion.
Why am I not in the least bit surprised that no UK cities appear on that list! smh
Gosh... Thank you so very much indeed @Nikki1989 for the MHO. xxx

It depends on what 'livable' means and what standards it is based upon.
If it is pleasurable city where it's nice to live, personal safety is guaranteed and there are plenty of options for leisure and free time, then I guess a lot of cities will qualify. Even if maybe the financial aspect (perceived wages vs cost of living) are not ideal.
If they only take into account professional options, income and personal belongings like owning a house, then we have a completely different picture.
I think we need some background on how the study was carried out.
It's a fairly ambiguous question. But my commute is less than 10 minutes. There are less than 500'000 of us here. The crime rate is very low. We don't have an audience to attract major performers, but we are 3 hours from Sydney, which does. The schools are goodish. Sometimes kangaroos hop down local roads. Flooding essentially never happens, but bushfires are a risk due to the extensive nature reserves.. I live one door down from one. So overall it is pretty liiveable
It's pretty livable if you live with someone in my city as rent can be somewhat high in the nice areas. It has a pretty good job market and great access to nature and recreation. We have one of the best zoos in our state and nice rivers and parks.
To me living in a ''city'' is a compromise.
The cities closet to me are
#1 disgusting
and
#2 corrupted by the local navy (=government)
As for ''like really'' - ... I'd counter with: not really :)
My city is livable but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to come move here for a lot of reasons , the city is safe and clean but not where I want to be , why I am making my plans to move out of here ASAP ,
st. louis is known for being bad, but its misleading and the city is okay for the most part
the drivers here really do suck tho
Oxford in the United Kingdom is quite liveable, but the one thing that really annoys me about Oxford is that it’s rammed packed with tourists all year around.
Outside of living costs I can’t complain - definitely a city in the upper third, which national polls like this reflect.
I live in the suburbs of a city. The metro area would probably be in the mid 80s, livable but could be better.
Oooh I used to live in Sydney, really nice there. My city Chicago well it's liveable just don't know how long you'll actually live 😆
Yeah, I don't think Chicago is that wonderfully livable anymore. Too much crime and the place has turned cesspool. 😫
Auckland is overcrowded and mostly by Asians. I wouldn’t live there personally and I don’t know many who would. Few nice places as you leave Auckland.
My city is not livable at all, it's not very big, about 50 000 people.
110°F temps in the shadow... is not livable, lmao...
Too expensive by me for anyone on avg US salaries. Even two people in one apartment splitting rent in a very tiny apartment, in a decent part of NYC is insane.
Very safe and livable other than the housing costs.
Leeds in Yorkshire England is pretty lively and cosmopolitan. I live about 6 miles away from the city centre
I live in a town but it's a decent place to live there's no real drama or anything it's peaceful.
None of the above are in the US so my city can't be that nice then
I love my city plenty of jobs plenty of things to do im never bored
Lived in the capital for a while. I refuse to ever live in a big city again. Total cunts
OK, but its public transit is a joke, homeless abound Downtown, and SCADS of folk are fugly.
Chicago IL USA is the way I was used to and I don't believe that I will never be able to think anything better
Tbh we are very below.
Unfortunately
I’m in a mountain town. Seems livable to me.
Türkiye, you think of the rest
I live in liveable city.
