What are the best and worst countries you’ve visited and why?

Not to say any are objectively bad just bad experience as a tourist or resident. Could be from how you were treated to how the weather was

Best: TURKEY, even though I got scammed and got food poisoning, but I never saw so many sites from so many different cultures, and I've never swam so much. I've also done stuff I never done before. I flew in a hot air ballooon, snorkeled in the Meditteranean, explored a cave city, saw my first PROPER Roman ruins, saw aminals I'd never seen before, and snorkeled UNDERWATER RUINS!

Also, it was one of my top bucketlist countries, and I went in September during COVID, so there were very few tourists. The weather was perfect, and the country felt like it was just being discovered.

Worst: GEORGIA. There were only a few places that were worth seeing. Many areas haven't been upgraded since Soviet times. The food and mountains were disappointing, and I've never met such selfish, ill mannered asshole people!

Belgium was a let down. I'm not sure i would call it the 'worst' but Brussels is beige... I guess that's why they put the EU Parliament there... and Bruges is an overmarketed tourist trap. A road trip to Ypres was worthwhile for the history and the pastries were good.

Best is Japan by a mile. But I think everyone on here is getting tired of me saying that.

Best? Norway. Worst? Briefly, Belgium or France. Belgium was just trashy where I was and Paris smells like pee.

India 🇮🇳 – Amazing culture and food, but my roughest trip: heat, pollution, chaotic traffic, scams around tourist spots, and constant sensory overload. With better planning and slower pace, it can be fantastic, but my first time was exhausting more than enjoyable.

I like the Spanish Canary Islands a lot, I felt at home in Israel and the French Riviera is awesome. I don't like countries where I get pestered by street sellers and scammers, like in Thailand. That's also a reason to avoid Northern African countries like the plague.

Best: France (southwards). Diverse, stimulating, cultured, exciting in food and landscapes.

Second best: Turkey (westwards). Welcoming, developped, impressing landscape.

Worst: Saudi Arabia. Crude and arrogant and dry and boring.
